Questions
Is Compy free?
Yes. Scanning and pricing cards is free. Paid plans will add extras like removing ads, a custom app color, a head start on new buy orders and the full vendor toolkit. During early access everything is free.
Do I need to download anything?
No. Open app.getcompy.app in Safari or Chrome on your phone. On iPhone, tap Share and then Add to Home Screen and it opens full screen, like an app. The App Store app is coming soon, and your account carries over.
Where do the prices come from?
Market prices are updated every few hours from marketplace data, and every price shows when it was last updated. Sold listings for raw cards and graded slabs come from completed sales on the big marketplaces.
Does it work without signal?
Mostly. The scanner runs on your phone, and Compy keeps a saved copy of prices for every card, so you can scan and price at a show with bad wifi. Prices update again when you're back online.
Can it read graded slabs?
Yes. Slab mode reads the label for the grading company and grade, finds the card, and prices it from recent sales of that grade.
How does selling to buyers work?
Pick an offer, take photos of the front and back of the card, and ship it with a tracked label. The buyer checks it and you're paid to your bank. Selling opens soon.
